Troy Powell has directed over 130 plays, musicals, and films. He worked at the Union Theatre for 25 years where he was nominated for four consecutive Tony Awards for Excellence in Theatre Education. He is currently attached to direct the TV series, The Shop, Bad Things & Good People and Condemned.
Troy is SAG Eligible appearing as Logan in What Josiah Saw, Big Lou in The Nature of Romance, Pepin, Pascal, and Fessenden in Centuries Collide, Richard Johnson in 21, 87 Barber in The Way I Heard It, Nichola in Alejandro, Jehoiakim in Spoken Gospel, Ghost in Hatch, and Luke in Eyewitness.
Troy has worked for over 25 years directing and producing quality entertainment. Currently he is working as a producer for Spoken Gospel and Grassfire Productions. He is also currently attached to be a producer on the TV series The Shop and Bad Things & Good People.
Troy has written The Last Years of Vincent Van Gogh, To Thine Own Self, My Maestro, Bucket List, Our Story, as well as an adptation for the Film Christmas Lizard and Frank and Rita. He has also completed a full television season of The Shop and Bad People & Good People. He is also a published children‘s book author.
